1.1.0
Current
11 October 2026
New
Teach Sæga how you write. Describe a mode in a sentence or start from a ready-made one.
See what your voice saves you. Home and Activity show time saved, week by week and day by day.
Reminders in Norwegian and English. And “efter lunch” or “i helgen” set the time you meant.
Record with a single key. And turn off any shortcut you don't use.
Get back the words as you said them. The menu pastes or copies your last dictation before cleanup.
See what's coming. Help, What's Coming opens the roadmap.
Changed
One custom mode is free. Pro gives you a mode for every app.
Passwords stay yours. What you dictate into a password field is never shown, sent or saved.
Pro includes 1,000 AI texts a month. With Apple Intelligence, cleanup then carries on free on your Mac.
Bought Pro before 1.1.0? Your AI texts stay unlimited.
Fixed
Sentences no longer run together when you dictate one after another.
And a lot of polish. A smoother window, a readable mode menu, clearer History and many small fixes.
1.0.33
7 October 2026
New
Your clipboard stays yours. Dictating no longer replaces what you copied.
Paste your last dictation again with Control + Option + V, or from the menu.
Fixed
The menu bar icon opens Home right after a dictation.
Every shortcut works with double-tap Fn. Undo, Rewrite and the rest now respond.
Sæga is spelled right. Say the name and it comes out as Sæga.
Say your address the English way too. “erik.lund at gmail dot com” comes out right.
Order numbers ending in a spoken “ett” come out as digits.
Pro is a one-time purchase. Cloud features are included for at least a year.
1.0.32
5 October 2026
New
Say your email address. Sæga writes it out, ready to send. Web addresses too.
Fixed
Phone and order numbers come out right. Cleanup never changes the digits you said.
1.0.31
4 October 2026
New
Cleanup on your Mac (beta). Free and unlimited on macOS 26 with Apple Intelligence, and it takes over when your monthly AI texts run out.
Home tells you when an update is ready. A banner says what the new version brings and installs it in one click.
1.0.30
3 October 2026
Changed
Your license key has a place in the app window. Enter it from Home or the Help menu.
1.0.29
3 October 2026
New
See your words as you speak. The notch shows what you say while you talk.
Your dictionary works with Pianissimo and Parakeet Ultra. Names and terms come out the way you write them.
Changed
Everything on your Mac is free. Dictionary, shortcuts, voice actions, export and Auto-mode; Pro is what runs in the cloud.
Pianissimo is the Swedish default. Your text is ready the moment you stop, and KB medium is one click away.
40 AI texts a month on Free, to use as you like. Cleanups and translations share one allowance.
Short dictations arrive sooner with Pianissimo and Parakeet Ultra.
The notch follows Reduce Motion and Increase Contrast. Calmer movement, clearer words.
Fixed
Esc cancels the dictation and nothing else. It no longer reaches the app you are dictating into.
1.0.28
29 September 2026
Fixed
Your own API key stays yours. It only ever goes to the provider you chose.
Local Mode means local, every time. Your text stays on your Mac, also when you rewrite or summarise it.
Your dictionary and history are safer. Nothing you have saved is lost by accident.
What gets pasted is what you said, also from long recordings.
Undo only undoes Sæga, and holding a key no longer triggers a shortcut twice.
Deleting asks first, for voice actions, dictionary words and history entries.
Reminders understand more ways to say a time, such as "i morgon kväll" and "fem i halv fyra".
Licences behave as expected. The free allowance resets on the first of every month.
1.0.27
28 September 2026
New
English and nine other European languages get a speech model built for them. Parakeet Ultra is free and runs on the macOS you already have.
Onboarding asks which language you dictate in, and fetches the right model for it.
Changed
Twelve languages, each with a model that is genuinely good at it: Swedish, Norwegian, English, German, French, Spanish, Italian, Portuguese, Dutch, Polish, Ukrainian and Russian.
A shorter model list, where every entry is the right choice for something. If your model was retired, Sæga moves you to the right one.
Each model shows how accurate and how fast it is.
Voice actions can open System Settings panes from a menu.
Fixed
The model menu only offers models suited to your language, and never hides the one you are on.
1.0.26
24 September 2026
New
Pianissimo, a fast Swedish speech engine. Your text is there almost the moment you stop talking.
Hover the notch to see and change mode and language.
The speech model is easy to find, in the menu bar, on Home and in the command palette.
The model download is part of the setup checklist, with live progress.
Changed
Every speech model is free. What runs on your Mac is free; Pro is the AI features.
Swedish now starts on KB medium, for more accurate text. A model you already chose stays.
KB small is no longer offered. If you use it, it keeps working until you choose to move.
A slimmer recording indicator at the notch.
Permissions are one screen, with the reason for each in plain words.
Renaming a built-in voice command no longer uses one of your free slots.
Sæga now requires macOS 14. All version 1 updates remain included, as promised.
Fixed
Model downloads are more reliable, with a clear message when disk space runs out.
Every dictation finishes a little sooner.
Smaller fixes to the pill, the language picker and the dictionary editor.
1.0.25
23 September 2026
Changed
The dictionary is split into Spelling and Shortcuts, by what you want an entry to do. Existing entries move themselves.
Free limits count spelling fixes and shortcuts separately, and say so on the page.
Voice actions are grouped into sections and shorter cards, with a search field once the list grows.
Closing an app by voice is as clear as opening one: name any running app and it closes.
New
Sæga spells its own name right, and leaves the Swedish verb "säga" alone.
Adding a correction shows what Sæga actually wrote, taken from your own history.
Duplicate dictionary entries are marked.
Fixed
Your clipboard survives a rewrite, including images, files and formatted text.
Sæga explains a permission before macOS asks for it, instead of in the middle of a dictation.
Smaller fixes: Settings closes when you click outside it, the menu bar icon opens Home reliably, and dates follow the interface language.
1.0.24
23 September 2026
New
Say "anteckna …" and it lands in Notes, a new pane with Open and Completed tabs. Notes are encrypted on your Mac and can be exported.
"påminn mig …" adds a reminder with a time to your Reminders list. Swedish for now.
"sök efter …" searches the web, and "fråga Claude …" opens a Claude chat with your words ready to send. Both stay off in Local Mode.
Control Spotify by voice: play, pause, skip, ask what is playing or start a playlist. No login needed, and it works in Local Mode.
Quit apps by voice, such as "stäng Slack och Mail". Unsaved work is asked about first.
Format as you dictate with "ny rad", "nytt stycke", "punktlista" and "stryk sista meningen", in Swedish, Norwegian and English.
Voice actions are easier to find, from the menu bar, the command palette and the welcome guide.
Fixed

1.0.23
21 September 2026
New

A "Get started" list on Home that ticks itself off as you try things.
Light or dark, your choice.
One window arranged around what you do, with the dictionary and voice actions in the sidebar.
The sidebar collapses to icons.
Dictionary entries can match case, so a rule only fires on the exact spelling.
Changed
"Voice macros" are now "text shortcuts", to keep them apart from voice actions.
Fixed
Dictation history can no longer be lost after a password change or a declined system prompt.
